New! Texas Legends Security Guard Academy

Texas Legends Gun Range and Training Center, L.L.C. is proud to announce their new Texas Legends Security Guard Academy, L.L.C.  License # F24081901. We teach Level III Security Guards with the goal of providing the student with an understanding of the legal authorities pertaining to Security Officer Commission and responsibilities.  Furthermore, the student will be able to demonstrate proficiency in techniques and tactics necessary to carry out the duties of a Commissioned Security Officer. 

Our course is 46 hours during which we teach State Approved Curriculum adding an hour of proprietary information to help the new Security Level III Officer secure a job and be a better employee.  Lunch from Lazy Dog’s limited menu is included.

The cost for NEW GUARDS IS $450 per guard.

The units include:

1.  Texas State Laws                                                                    Security Class 1- March 13-17th   8:00am-6:00pm

2.  Field Notes and Report Writing                                                                        March 17th- graduation after class

3.  Crime Scene

4.  Patrol Services                                                                    Security Class 2- March 27- 31st    8:00am- 6:00pm

5.  Use of Force                                                                                                        March 31st- graduation after class

6.  Conflict Resolution

7.  Defensive Tactics

8.  Handcuffing

9.  Firearms

10. Information to help the Security Guard retain or successfully seek employment. 

Re- certification- Cost is $225 per officer. The course length is 6 to 6 1/2  hours as mandated by the State of Texas. During this course the re-certifying officer will review:

3.  Crime Scene

4.  Use of Force                                                                                    Re-cert Level III- April 3rd- 8:00am-2:30

Firearm Qualification Only- Handgun and 12 gauge Shotgun$75. Ammunition not included. 

IF needed to reach their employment goals, we offer one-on-one instruction for improving handcuffing, baton, firearms- pistol and shotgun, to be sure that the guard’s technique, marksmanship or tactical shooting fulfill employer’s expectations (at an additional fee).
