Range Safety Officer

Description

• Monitor range patrons to ensure safety and the following of rules and policies.

• Greet and assist range patrons as needed to ensure a pleasant shooting experience.

• Make range patrons aware if they are violating a rule or policy.

• Maintain the appearance and operation of the range.

• Document any damage to range facility

• Assist customers with appropriate lane and target operation.

• Know and follow emergency response plans when required.

• Maintain productive relationships with established customers, providing the highest level of customer service.

• Educating the public on safety and range rules.

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of range facilities.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and handling skills for firearms, including pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns

• 2+ years of firearms experience preferred

• Prior military or range experience preferred but not required.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes in stressful situations.

• Personable and sociable with strong verbal communication skills.

• Mechanical experience is a plus.

• Basic computer knowledge is necessary.

• Legally able to work in the United States.

• Legally able to possess a firearm. 

• Eighteen years of age or older.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Sales Specialist

Description

• Connecting with our customers as we look to build loyalty among this rapidly growing demographic of those enjoying the sport of shooting.

• Assisting with educational classes by making our attendees feel welcomed and comfortable discussing their needs.

• Being responsible for the safety of all of our customers as they enjoy our shooting range.

• Being a welcome and friendly face to our regular customers to help nurture our “customers are the most important” atmosphere.

• Completing sales and meeting our customer’s needs.

• Completing government paperwork with the customer and ensuring work with 100% accuracy

• Explain range and firearm handling procedures to customers.

• Explain the functionality of range equipment to customers.

• Explain the functionality of all firearms used on the range.

• Immediately analyze, predict, and preclude unsafe situations to ensure training is conducted in a safe and responsible manner.

• Learn to promptly, appropriately, and decisively follow emergency standards and procedures in situations where personal safety of clients, staff, or others may be threatened.

• Ensure 4473 forms are completed thoroughly and accurately

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Luxury goods or firearms sales background is a plus.

• 1 Year (or more) FFL Sales Experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail.

• Must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to own & sell firearms.

• Must pass a background check to sell firearms.

• Ability to understand and fulfill customers’ needs with enthusiasm, good judgment, and logic.

• On the job training provided. You do not need to be a “Gun Person.”
